Hastings resident, Luis Morales Parra, 70, of 1242 N. Colorado, died Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Rosary will be Monday, September 11, 2006 at 7 PM at Brand-Wilson Chapel; Mass of Christian burial will be will be Tuesday at 10:30 at St. Cecilias Catholic Church with Father James Benton officiating. Visitation will be Monday, September 11, 2006 from noon till 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE and 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday. Mr. Morales was born, March 19, 1936 to Ramon and Mercedes (Parra) Morales, in Chihuahua, Mexico. He married Esperanza Estrada, August 3, 1964. He worked as a walker at the Fonner Park race track, Grand Island, NE. He has lived in the Hastings, community for 11 years. He was a member of the St. Cecilias Catholic Church, in Hastings, NE. He is survived by his wife, Esperanza of Hastings, NE, 2 daughters, Maria Loya, of Hastings, NE, Maribel Morales of Hastings, NE, 1 son, Luis Jr. of Alamosa, Colorado, 9 grandchildren, 1 sister, Esperanza Morales Parra of Chihuahua, Mexico. He was preceded in death by, 2 daughters, Sylvia and Socorra, 3 sons, Mario, Alfredo, and Carlos, 1 sister, Mercedes, and 2 brothers Raoul and Ramon. Memorials may be given to the family.
