Lynne Hartman Schroeder passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024, in Lincoln, NE.
A private memorial service and burial of cremated remains were held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church and cemetery in Holstein, NE. Lynne was born on January 9, 1962, in Red Cloud, NE to Gerald and Margaret (Lane) Hartman. She grew up in Holstein, NE and was the oldest of five siblings. She graduated from Roseland High School in 1980 and continued her education at Central Community College in Hastings, NE where she earned her Associate Degree in computer programming. She devoted more than 30 years of her career to AG Processing Inc in Omaha, NE where she was a hardworking, dedicated and well-respected employee.
Lynne was a loving, kind, and devoted daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Her warmth and inclusiveness were illustrated by her ability to make her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws feel like true siblings. Lynne had many accomplishments in her life, but her greatest pride and joy was in her three daughters and watching them excel in both their personal lives and careers. She devoted everything she had to loving and raising them. This love and dedication was later showered upon her granddaughter, Mina Rae. Lynne was extremely thoughtful and creative and made sure all holidays and family get-togethers were full of joyful memories. She was known as the reliable organizer and planner for the whole family. She was monumental in coordinating everything from vacations to family reunions, allowing her love of travel to flourish.
Lynne always loved music and dancing, this was an everlasting source of joy for her with her music preferences ranging from Christian rock to Abba to Lady Gaga. She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, crafting, reading, and puzzles. She also enjoyed being active and her interests varied over the years from walking or running with friends to kickboxing to “body pump” classes to swimming. She dedicated much of her free time to various committees and organizations associated with her local church and school communities in Omaha, NE and later in Yutan, NE.
She is survived by her parents, Gerald and Margaret Hartman; three daughters: Courtney (Philipp) Robbel, Kyley (Falah) Al-Hirez, and Jaymie Schroeder; one granddaughter, Mina Al-Hirez; and four siblings: Mark (Jacquie) Hartman, Joan (Noel) Nienhueser, Leigh (Steve) Hartman-Clutter, and Jerry (Melissa) Hartman. Lynne also has numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved and was loved by.
