Manual Peter Uzeta

Manual Peter Uzeta (Manny, Chico), age 69, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010, in Hastings, NE, due to cancer. Private family service was held, Friday May 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of his oldest son, Michael and Angie Uzeta, in Hastings, NE with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Choosing to honor Manuals wishes his body was cremated. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Brand-Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Manny was born November 25, 1940 in San Francisco, CA to Frank and Lola (Gerra) Uzeta. The youngest of three children, he had an older Sister Ann Uzeta (Christiansen) and Brother Joseph Uzeta. He married Cheryl Hetle, October 2, 1965 and they would have celebrated their 45th anniversary this year. Displaying his patriotism throughout his life Manuel entered the navy at the age of seventeen and served six years, touring all areas of the world and regretted not making a career of it. He continued this devotion by working in law enforcement as a police officer and sheriffs deputy for 15 years in North Dakota. Throughout his life he worked in sales, truck driving, convenience store management, and owned his own business. He is survived by, his wife Cheryl, children, Michael Uzeta, Sean Uzeta, Sierra McLean, and Tiara Tersini, adopted children, Mara Wong, Jason Morris, and Darrell Hogg, grandchildren, Dawn, Alina, Anthony, Mark, Michael Jr., Jadey, McKenzie, and Eldon, great grandchildren, Dominique, Jamison, Cierian, Triniti, Serenity, Jayna-Rae, Elli-Ireland, Cambria, and Legend, sister Ann, and Brother Joe and families. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lola Powers, father, Frank Uzeta, and step father, Frank Powers. Memorials may be given to the family.
