Margaret E. Bieck

Glenvil resident, Margaret Emma Bieck, 82, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10:30 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil, NE with Pastor Jeff Glawe officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Yard Cemetery, Glenvil, NE. Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2013 from 9 am to 9 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to family. Margaret was born May 19, 1930 in Spring Ranch, NE the daughter of Constant and Johanna (Hinrichs) Walther. She graduated from the Glenvil High School. She worked at Hesteds in Hastings. She was united in marriage to Robert G. Bieck on July 15, 1952 in Hastings. After marriage she helped on the family farm near Giltner while Robert served in the United States Army. They lived near Harvard where they farmed, they then moved to Giltner where they ran a hardware store. Moving to Glenvil in 1974 they continued farming. After they stopped farming Margaret sold Avon and worked at the Meat Animal Research Center near Clay Center. She also had worked at the Clay County Museum in Clay Center, Allens, Good Samaritan Village, IGA and Walmart all in Hastings, until her health declined. She is survived by one son, Don Bieck of Glenvil, one daughter, Betty Burnham of Hastings, two granddaughters, Tori Burnham of Glenvil, and Sara Siler of Hastings, and one great grandson FaSiryn Lands of Hastings. She was preceded in death by her parents.
