Margaret Nell Peirce

Hastings resident, Margaret Nell Peirce, 74, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare.



Services will be Friday, November 9, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings with Pastor Dustin Bower officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Red Cloud, NE. There will be no visitation, Margaret’s wishes were to be cremated. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in care of the family. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com.



Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church, Hastings.



Margaret was born June 26, 1944 to Earle and Ruby (Boitnot) Thomas in Lebanon, Kansas. She graduated from the Lebanon High School. She married James Peirce on February 27, 1965 in Lebanon, Kansas. Margaret was a homemaker.



She was a member of the First Christian Church. She enjoyed embroidery, canning and quilting with her husband.



She is survived by her husband James of Hastings, daughter, Michelle (Jim) Grant of Lincoln, son, Daniel Peirce of Hastings, two grandchildren, Anna and Molly Grant of Lincoln, three sisters-in-laws, Sharlene Thomas, Myrna (Joe) Cagnina and Linda (Jim) Smith, three brothers-in-laws, Terry (Diane) Peirce, Michael (Cherlene) and Larry (Angie) Peirce, sister in law Patty Thomas, nieces and nephews, Heidi, Maya and Jana, Troy Peirce, Michael, Matthew and Marcus Peirce, Nadine Glenn, Gayleen Thiesson, Ron (Carla) Smith, Lori (Kevin) Kellog, Kim Lingafelt, Joe Cagnina, Michael Cagnina, Doug Thomas, Robin and Brad Bradley and Ginny Spiehs.



She was preceded in death by her parents, parents in laws Russel and Betty Peirce and four siblings.
