Hastings resident, Marian Lucile Wegner, 100, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Memorial services will be Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11 am at All Saints Chapel, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village, with Rev. Art Schakat officiating. Burial will be in the Bennet Cemetery, in Bennet, NE at 3 pm, Saturday. Family will be present to greet friends one hour before the service at All Saints Chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Mary Lanning Hospice, the Bennet Cemetery or the donors choice. Marian was born April 23, 1912 to Charles E. and Carmie (Griffith) Allen in Johnstown, NE. She was educated in the Ainsworth Public Schools and graduated in 1930. She married Charles Jager in Ainsworth, NE on November 21, 1933 and to that union were born two daughters, Lucile M and Melva Joyce, Charles passed away September 30, 1945. On December 17, 1964 Marian was united in marriage to John Wegner in Westminster, CO, John passed away November 19, 1989. During her lifetime she worked at Ernst Bakery, Jakes Bake Shop, and Silas Mason at the Cornhusker Ordinance plant as an inspector and retired from Delicious Foods in 1976. Marian has been a lifelong member of the Methodist faith, currently a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island, NE. She is survived by, one daughter Lucile Hibberd of Westminster, Co, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and 6 step great great grandchildren. She will be missed by all her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Charles and John, one daughter, Melva, one sister, Thelma and four brothers, Wallingford Wally, Neil, Cebert and Delbert as well as two son-in-laws.
