Marjorie Augusta Kelly

Marjorie L. Kelly, 90 of Grand Island died Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Tiffany Square Care Center, Grand Island.

Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, Grand Island with the Rev. Lisa Ewald officiating. Inurnment will be in Grand Island Cemetery, Grand Island, Nebraska. The family will greet family and friends one hour prior to services on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the church. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church organ fund or to the family to be designated at a later date. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.

Marjorie L. Kelly was born March 1, 1928 in George, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Mabel (Kepler) Lehmann. She grew up and received her education at the University of Nebraska, where she received her teaching credentials in 1947. She was united in marriage to Lloyd William Kelly, Jr. on June 23, 1947, in Rock Rapids, Iowa. The couple made their home in Grand Island, where Mr. Kelly practiced law. She was employed in customer service at Conestoga Mall.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Riverside Golf Club, and the Saddle Club.

Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter & son-in-law, Kathleen Kelly & Paul McCloskey of Phoenix, Arizona and a grandson, Daniel McCloskey of Phoenix Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd William Kelly, Jr., son Lloyd William Kelly, III and a sister, Carol Lehmann Tillou.
