Martha May Gerloff

Hastings resident, Martha May Gerloff, 89, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Kenesaw Haven Home, Kenesaw, NE. Services will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 2 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE with Rev. Eddie Goff officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Monday, June 20, 2011 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Martha was born May 3, 1922 to James G. and Alice L. (Parsons) Ferguson, on a farm in rural Adams County. She attended Kelly District 35 and Hastings Public Schools. She married Albert R. Gerloff on January 25, 1947; he passed away on July 14, 1994. She had lived all her life in Adams County. Martha was a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Gary Piel and wife Peg of Grand Island, NE and Gene Piel and wife Shannon of Red Cloud, NE. 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews including Cyndi Andersen of Hastings, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert, three brothers and one sister and one great great grandchild. A memorial will be established.
