Mary E. Snyder

Mary E. Snyder, 100, of Omaha, formerly of Grand Island, died Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Immanuel Fonenelle Nursing Home in Omaha. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, December 7, 2018 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island, NE, with Derek Apfel officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Fontenelle Nursing Home.



Mary was born February 7, 1918 to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Schwingle) Deines at Clay Center, NE. She married William “Les” Snyder in 1943.



She is survived by loving family: Gail Lovercheck, Duane (Ruth) Buchtel, Maurie Deines, Bruce (Dottie) Deines, Pat Deines, Vicki (Rocky) Prorock; the children of Royce and Peg Buchtel; and many friends.



Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband: William Leslie Snyder; brothers: Burnette, Noval, Royce; and sisters: Helen Buchtel, and Kathryn Deines.
