Roseland resident, Maurice E. Trausch, 92, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Rosary will be Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 7:30 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland, NE with Father Thomas Brouillette officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be will be Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 10 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Roseland, NE with Father Thomas Brouillette officiating. Burial will be in the Roseland Cemetery, Roseland, NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 5 PM to 9 PM and Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established. Maurice was born May 12, 1919 to John H. and Susan B (Berres) Trausch near Roseland, NE. He graduated elementary school at District #10 near Roseland, NE. He served in the United States Army from October 5, 1940 to November 13, 1945. He married Irene M. Kaiser, October 28, 1947 she passed away June 16, 1980, later he married Wilma J. Kugler on June 23, 1982, she passed away August 3, 2008. He farmed near Carroll, Iowa, from 1945 to 1947, moving back to Roseland, NE farming there until he retired in 1981. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Roseland, NE and the Eagles Aeries #592. He is survived by one daughter Dorothy Nejezchleb and husband Gary of Hastings, NE, one son John Trausch and wife Glenda of Roseland, NE, and 6 grandchildren, 11great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, 4 step children , Bob Kugler and wife Corky of Cimarron, Kansas, Roger Kugler and wife Ann of Salina, Kansas, Vicky Kugler of Colorado Springs, CO and Randy Kugler of Hastings, NE, 5 step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren, one brother, Gerald Trausch of Spring Hill, KS and one sister Theresa Sieker of Lincoln, NE, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, by wifes, Irene and Wilma, one daughter, Margene S. Primm, two sisters, Irene Matyka and Margaret Kresha, and eight brothers, Father Anthony, Albert, Wilfred, Raymond, Father Robert, Louis, Ralph and Francis Trausch.
