Michael A. Roberts

Michael A. Roberts, 54, of Grand Island died Sunday, January 28, 2013 at his home. Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. A Private Burial of Ashes will be in the Ravenna Cemetery. To honor Michaels wishes, his body was cremated. There will not be a public visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family. Michael was born on March 31, 1958 to Gordon and Ethel (Healey) Roberts in Sioux City, Iowa. He grew up in Sioux City. In 1990, he moved to Nebraska. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Dedra Roberts of Ravenna and Duane and Mindy Roberts of Grand Island; mother, Jean Roberts of Grand Island; brothers, Thomas Roberts of Grand Island and William Bill Roberts of Grand Island; grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Cassandra, Jeremiah Jr., Dylan, and Jackson. He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, James Roberts.
