Michael L. Jensen

Kenesaw resident, Michael L. Jensen, 53, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings.

Services will be Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10 am at the Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene, Hastings. Graveside service to follow at the Kenesaw Cemetery, Kenesaw. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 2 pm to 8 pm with the family present from 4 pm to 5 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw. Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw are in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Lakeside Community Church of Nazarene, Hastings.

Michael was born May 28, 1961 to Rudolph and Barbara (Miller) Jensen in Minden, NE. He graduated from the Kenesaw High School in 1979. He married Tonya Hilbert in Kearney on August 18, 2000. He was a former grocery store owner and was self-employed.

He was a member of the Lakeside Community Church of Nazarene, Hastings.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and visiting friends in downtown Kenesaw. He collected classic cars and guns and enjoyed gun smithing. He was a Hot Wheels enthusiast and loved to draw.

He is survived by his wife Tonya of Kenesaw, three daughters, Megan Jensen of Hastings, Marah Jensen and Rudee Jensen of Kenesaw, one son, Eli Jensen of Kenesaw, his mother Barbara Jensen of Kenesaw and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, and brother Douglas Jensen.
