Former Hastings resident, Mildred J. (Denney) Zagst, 91 died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Berthoud Living Center in Berthoud, Co. Services will be Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 10:30 AM the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Seth Denney officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time in the chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. She was born July 1, 1919. She had lived in Loveland, Co. for the past twenty years. Mildred worked at Mode O Day in Hastings and retired from Western Electric in Omaha. She is survived by two sons: Douglas Denney of Loveland, Co, Steve Denney and wife Emma of Fort Collins, Co and Son in law Sibley Bryan Jr. of Union Point, Georgia, sisters Lois Besk of Omaha, Katherine O'Donnell of Hastings, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Russell R. Denney, her children's father, and George Blair and Frank Zagst, her daughter Harriet Bryan, a sister Greta Kent and a brother Phil Cornell and a granddaughter Lynette Denney. Memorials may be given to the family.
