Mollie S. Dobesh

Hastings resident, Mollie S. Dobesh, 97, died Friday, August 3, 2007 at her home, 215 East Park Street. A private family service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. She was born on October 17, 1909 to Henry and Emma (Green) Schneider in Norka, Russia. As a young woman, Mollie worked at Rutt's Drug Store. In 1933, she married Tony Dobesh. She was a foster grandparent at the First Presbyterian Church Pooh Corner Daycare Center for over 25 years and a member of the First Congregational Church. She is survived by 2 sons (spouse): Jerry (Barbara) of Billings, Montana, and James (Sandra) of Hastings; 4 grandchildren: Jerry (Tracy) of Gresham, Oregon, Carol (Pat) Hagan of Billings, Montana, Kay and David Dobesh of Hastings; and 4 great-grandchildren: Matthew Konen of Billings, Montana and Claire, Emma and Henry Dobesh of Gresham, OR. She had thanked God for His help and had asked Him to bless everyone. Her favorite bible verse was Psalm 117. Mollie was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Tony; her parents, 4 sisters: Jenny Washburn, Elizabeth Reiber, Christine Hodge and Marie Schneider; and 2 brothers: John and William Schneider.
