Nana Louise Stalker

Alexandria, VA

Nana Stalker, 67, of Alexandria, VA passed away early Tuesday morning, January 7, 2025, at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 7, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements, online condolences may be left at www.apfelfuneralhome.com. 

Nana was born July 31, 1957, to Harry and Patricia (Parsons) Stalker at Grand Island, NE. She attended and graduated from Grand Island Public Schools. She graduated from Doane College in Crete, NE with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She graduated from the University of Nebraska, Omaha with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She graduated from Embry-Riddle University with a Master of Science. 

Nana began her career with the Department of Defense at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virgina. Her career took her to our nation’s capital in Washington D.C. with positions at Andrews Air Force Base, the Pentagon, Fort Belvoir, and around the world. 

She was a member of the Old Meeting House in Alexandria, VA.

Nana will be missed by many and she will be remembered for her strong faith, inquisitive mind, generous spirit and devotion to family and friends. 

Nana is survived by her sister, Dacia Stalker. 

Nana was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eve and her grandparents.
