Nancy J. Meyer

Nancy J. Meyer, 87, of Papillion, Nebraska, formerly of Grand Island died Tuesday July 12, 2022, at Hillcrest Country Estate in Papillion.



Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Monday, July 18th at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. Pastor Luke Biggs will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 PM on Sunday July 19th at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Lutheran Family Services or the Habitat for Humanity.



Nancy was born January 7, 1935, at Omaha to Clarence H. and Mabel (Conklin) Allyn. After growing up in Omaha and Iowa she attended high school in Grand Island and Palmer. She graduated from Palmer High School in 1952.



She was united in marriage to Clayton C. Meyer on June 28, 1953, at Palmer, Nebraska. The couple lived in Grand Island and Nancy taught school at Knickrehm Elementary.



She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and spent many years in the choir. Her many hobbies included reading, sewing, cooking, music, and traveling.



She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Larry Fuller; grandchildren and their families, Brett and Jennifer Fuller, their boys Henry and Hudson, Kyle and Emily Fuller and their daughter, Sutton; her brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Ardyne Allyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clayton; and sister, Elizabeth; her sister and brother in-law, Janice and Neal Lynch; her brother in-law, Vernon; nephews, Randy and Chris; and great nephew Keith Falldorf.
