Neil Delimont

Trumbull resident, Neil Delimont, 88 passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings Village.



Services will be 10:30 am, Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Travis King officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Trumbull, NE with military rights by the Hastings Veterans Service. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in charge of the arrangements.



Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.



Neil was born May 28, 1928 to David Gregoire and Effie May (Park) Delimont in Rigby, Idaho.

He married Ruth Elaine Main on March 5, 1950 in Fullerton, NE, Ruth passed away January 31, 2007. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from January 11, 1949 to October 1, 1952. He worked as a farmhand and heavy equipment operator at Talbert Land Leveling in Minden, NE.



He was a member of the Trumbull United Methodist Church, DAV and American Legion Post #300, and the VFW all in Doniphan, NE.



He is survived by one brother, David (Judy) Delimont and sister, Adelle (William) Bjugstad and numerous nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth, two brothers, Harvey and Albert Delimont, one sister, Erma Backman and one sister-in-law, Twyla Weavers.
