Hastings resident, Nina Isabelle Seballoz, 92, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, NE. Private Service and burial will be at a later date. Nina was born November 3, 1918 on the family farm, to Robert Franklin and Nina Alice (Smock) Houdashelt in Talmo, Kansas. She attended schools in Talmo, Kansas and Grand Junction, CO. She married Michael Seballoz on July 4th 1953. Nina went back to school and graduated from the Hastings School of Business in Hastings, NE. She worked for Rogers Radio and TV, later at Geyermans Dress Shop and in 1957 for the Hastings Regional Center all in Hastings, NE. In 1958 Nina was a working partner with her husband Mike who had started the Vector Exterminating Co in Hastings, NE. She helped on many termite jobs the first year; she o learned to run the jack hammer and most of the equipment in a very short time. After the first year she ran the office and was the bookkeeper. She ran the office with a firm hand, training new help, teaching them how to keep their daily reports. In 1989 Nina and Mike sold the company to Presto X Company out of Omaha, NE and retired. She is survived by her husband Mike, and three granddaughters, Tandy Sue Willingham, Zalene Gayer and Lindy S. Haba, seven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Leona Fern and Roselle Andrews, one grandson, Mark Fern, two sisters, Hazel Smith and Georgette Tapper and four brothers, Robert, Cecil, Gola, and Fredrick Houdashelt. Memorials may be given to the family. Her photo was taken in 1953.
