Hastings resident Norma D. Hart, 95, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Brookefield Park, St. Paul, NE.
Services will be Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 10 am at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Francois Erasmus officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the Hastings 7th Day Adventist Church.
Norma was born April 1, 1920 to William and Freena (Green) Volkmer in Strang, NE.
She graduated from Utica High School, and later she attended Union College in Lincoln.
She married Rowland Hart on December 25, 1939 in Seward, NE. Rowland passed away July 9, 1992. Norma was a homemaker and had lived in Hastings since 1943.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hastings. She was active in church organizations. She was a member of the Christians womens club. She loved to garden, play the piano, cook and prepare meals for her family.
She is survived by 3 sons, Perry (Judy) Hart of Windsor, CO, Robert (Yvette) Hart and David (Dee) Hart all of Doniphan and, 10 grandchildren, Stephen (Lynette) Hart, Julie (Mike) Belieu, Melissa (Chad) Hodgson, Natalie (Mike) Porter, Andrew (Angela) Hart, Lucas (Stephanie) Hart, Sara (Dan) Porter, Abigail (Aaron) Cyboron, Jonathan (Mollie) Hart, Lindy (David) Borer, 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rowland, infant son Philip.
