Nylotis L. Brocker, 79, of Grand Island died Friday, April 19, 2024, at Emerald Lakeview Care Center in Grand Island. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Husker attire is requested. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family. Nylotis was born on December 21, 1944, to Carl and Saraphine Fannie (Hursell) Reiken in Long Pine, NE. She grew up in Beatrice and attended school there. Later she moved to Grand Island.

On September 7, 1974, she was united in marriage to Claire “Whitey” Brocker in Grand Island. She worked as a housekeeper at the Holiday for 40 years. After which she helped at the Cow Palace. She enjoyed her co-workers and socializing with people.

Nylotis loved everything Husker and Elvis. She and Claire enjoyed going to concerts and socializing with friends.

Survivors include sister, Ardith Engle of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2012; brothers: Norval, Delbert, James, Delmer, Marvin Reiken; and sister, Phyllis (Rieken) Fuller.
