Owen DelRay Lemburg, 72, of Doniphan, Nebraska died on March 30, 2019 at CHI St. Francis in Grand Island.
Owen was born on January 14, 1947 in Wood River, Nebraska to Carson and Charlotte Lemburg. He grew up in Wood River and received his education at Wood River Highschool. He entered the Army in 1966 and served during the Vietnam war. He was honorably discharged in 1968.
He was united in marriage to Twila in Franklin, Nebraska during June of 1970. The family then made their home in Heartwell, Nebraska where he was employed by Heartwell Grain. He also lived in Wood River and Doniphan. While living in those areas he was employed by Kellys Café at the Bosselmans Truck Stop in Wood River, Heartwell Grain in Heartwell, Nebraska and Jepson Well Drilling out of Minden, Nebraska.
Owen was a member of the Catholic Church and a 43-year member of the Wood River American Legion.
Survivors include his son Shawn “Mike” and Emalee Lemburg and their two daughters Cheyenne and Kassadi of McCook, Nebraksa; son, Keith and Trenna Lemburg and their two sons Nathan and Skylar of Grand Island, Nebraska; brother Roland Lemburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carson and Charlotte Lemburg; sister, Eileeen Lemburg; brothers, Devon and Hobart “Whitey” Lemburg.
