Pamela Jean Dericks

Hastings resident, Pamela Jean Dericks, 50, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10 am at the Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings, NE with Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Friday, November 16, 2012 from 9 am to 9 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the family. Pam was born May 23, 1962 to Burdon F. and Connie (Brown) Thomsen in Hastings, NE. She married Kenneth Wade Dericks on June 17, 1983 in Hastings, NE, he passed away September 3, 2005. She was finishing school at Central Community College in Hastings for business management. She would have graduated in December. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, in Hastings, NE. Pam had a laugh that if you heard it you knew exactly who it was. Pam always had a positive outlook on life and always left you with you a laugh. Pam was a very good care taker for her husband when he had cancer and several others. She was a good mother to her children and she will be missed by her family and many special friends. She also loved her plants and her dogs. She is survived by one son Clint Dericks and wife Vanessa and one daughter Regina Rader and husband Logan, her mother Connie Markwell and husband Gary all of Hastings, NE, one brother, Bradley Thomsen and wife Angie of Aurora, CO, three sister-in-laws, Janet Dericks, Lisa Horton and Deb Horton and one brother-in-law, Darryn Clod Dericks all of Hastings and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father and her husband Kenneth.
