Pamela Jean Morris

Hastings resident, Pamela J. Morris, 70, passed away December 24, 2018 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings.



Family graveside service will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11am at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings with Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Inurnment will be at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hastings Food Pantry. Condolences may be given to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home of Hastings is in care of the family.



Pamela was born on January 9, 1948 at Hastings, NE to Gerald and Beverly (McDaniels) Morris. She grew up in Hastings, Nebraska and received her education at Hastings High School graduating in 1966, then the University of Nebraska graduating 1970, and she received her master’s degree at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She was employed as a counselor at the Golden Girls, Girls Home in West Virginia.



Pamela loved to read and was very active at Goldbeck Towers where she lived.



She is survived by her father, Gerald R. Morris of Hastings, brothers, Gerald (Ginger) A. Morris of Cowley, WY, Craig Morris of Lenexa, KS, Robert Morris of Kearney, NE, niece, Allison Morris of Kearney, nephews, Christopher Morris of Minden, Steven (Michaela) Morris of LaVista.



She was preceded in death by her mother, and sister in law, Mary Morris.
