Patricia L Johnson

Patricia L. Johnson, 87, of Doniphan, died Friday, March 4, 2016 at Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island.



Services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday March 8, 2016 at the Doniphan United Methodist Church in Doniphan. Interment will be in the Cedar View Cemetery in Doniphan. The Reverend Kelly Karges will be officiating.



Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Monday at the Doniphan United Methodist Church. Memorials are suggested to the Doniphan United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers. Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island is assisting the family.



Patricia was born on July 10, 1928 in Doniphan, Nebraska and received her education at Doniphan Public School. She was united in marriage to Harold Johnson on February 10, 1947. The couple lived in Doniphan where she was employed as a secretary for the Doniphan Public School.



Patricia was a member of the Doniphan United Methodist Church, Doniphan American Legion Auxillary, and Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, and watching sports. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family.



Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Marilyn Johnson, Thomas and Sharon Johnson, all of Doniphan, and Jeffery and Chandra Johnson of Omaha; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Wendall and Kenneth; and granddaughter, Andrea (Johnson) Douglas.
