Hastings resident, Patty Suzanne (Eckhardt) Buhr, 67 passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings.



Memorial service will be Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Andrea Paulson, officiating. Burial will be at 4pm at the Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr, NE. Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2019 with family present from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in care of the family.



Memorials may be given to Juvenile Diabetes or the Alzheimer’s Association.



Patty was born, April 27, 1952 to Walter and Pauline (Blayney) Eckhardt in Minden, NE. She graduated from Holstein High School in 1970. She attended and graduated from Cosmetology School. She married Gerald Buhr on June 24, 1972 in Holstein. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage together. She worked at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital as the ER Secretary and the Caring Hands schedular.



Patty enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She loved dogs and saved every stray she could. She loved to travel, oil painting, movies, camping and singing karaoke.



She is survived by her husband, Gerald and one son, Nathan (Wendy) Buhr and two grandchildren, Payden and Brooklynn all of Hastings, two sisters, Marcella Haller of Palmyra, NE and Mary (Bob) Lyberis of Lincoln, NE, Sister’s In-Law and Brother’s In-Law and nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Carol Eckhardt, one brother-in-law, Richard Haller and parent’s in laws, Walter and Lula Buhr.
