Hastings resident, Paul H. Amack, 89, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Graveside service will be Friday, August 19, 2011 at 2 PM at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE with Rev. Dale Phillips officiating. There will be no visitation as his body was cremated. Arrangements by the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the Golden Friendship Center, Hastings, NE. Paul was born April 17, 1922 to Henry and Alza (Creps) Amack in St. Francis, Kansas. He served in the United States Army during WWII in the Pacific Theatre from October 2, 1942 to January 18, 1946. He moved to Hastings, NE in 1946. He married Nettie J. Comstock. She passed away November 23, 1990. After his military service he worked construction, he then drove a truck for Debus and Metz Bakery Company. He also worked at the Hastings Regional Center where he was a supervisor at the power plant until his retirement. He was a member of the Eagles Aries # 592, the VFW Club and the Golden Friendship Center. He is survived by 1 daughter, Paulette Pool and husband Marvin of Hastings, NE, and 1 son Ron Amack and wife Janet of Lincoln, NE,4 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nettie, and 3 brothers, Leland, Lewis and Roy.
