Pauline Joye Schultz

Pauline Joye Schultz, 85 of Grand Island died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at CHI St. Francis Skilled Care in Grand Island.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Derek Apfel CFC officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Island. Visitation hours will be 4-7 Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.

Pauline Joye Schultz was born January 10, 1930 in Wood River, Nebraska the daughter of Earl E. & Violet M. (Spellman) Snyder. She grew up in the Wood River and Alda community, graduating from Alda High School with the class of 1948. She was united in marriage to Allen W. Schultz, November 6, 1946 in Smith Center, Kansas. The couple made their home in Wood River where she was employed at Leons Plastics for 30 years. Mr. Schultz preceded her in death, July 20, 1993. In 1996 she moved to Grand Island where she worked part time at the Grand Generation Center for 10 years.

She was a member of the Alda Methodist Church and the Platt Duetsche Society.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and visiting the Casinos.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter & son-in-law, Tammy J. & Jim Holder of Grand Island, three sons & daughters-in-law, Jack D. & Mary H. Schultz of Grand Island, NE, James A. & Sandy Schultz of Salina, KS, Timothy A. & Melissa Schultz of Platte City, MO., 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, daughter-in-law, Linell Schultz of Doniphan, one brother, Cecil E. Snyder of Vista, California

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Allen L. Schultz, son, Jerry A. Schultz, two grandchildren, Barbara Schultz & Scott Schultz, brother, Robert E. Snyder, sister-in-law, Vivian Snyder and a special friend Ted Davis.
