Phyllis F. Nelson

Phylllis F. Nelson, 80, formerly of Aurora, died Saturday March 17, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society in Ravenna, NE.

Phyllis wishes were for cremation to take place and no services.

Phyllis was born February 2, 1938, at Scribner, Nebraska to Leo and Florence (Hankins) Weiman. She grew up and attended school in Grand Island.

Phyllis married Jack Nelson on May 20, 1955, at Doniphan, NE. They traveled and lived in various locations as Jack served in the Army and settled in Grand Island following his discharge.

Phyllis worked as a manager in the motel and restaurant business throughout her working years.

She enjoyed river fishing, playing Yahtzee and poker with her sisters.

She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Cathy and Gene McCloud and Bonnie Priesendorf all of Grand Island; three sisters, Sharon Latimore, Nadyne Nelson and Diane Garcia; and three grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her son, Robert Nelson; and four sisters.
