Former Hastings resident, Phyllis J. Walker, 75, died Monday, September 18, 2006 at the Kenesaw Haven Home, Kenesaw, NE Services will be held, Friday, September 22, 2006 at 2 PM at the All Saints Chapel, GSV, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Jeremiah Quintin officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 5 PM to 9 PM and Thursday, September 21, 2006 from 8 AM to 9PM and Friday, September 22, 2006, 8 AM to 12 Noon at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE and 1 hour prior to service time at the Chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mrs. Walker was born, April 13, 1931 to Benjamin and Hattie Hazel (Gallagher) Hermann in Bradshaw, NE. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1948. She married Elmer V. Walker; on April 16th, 1949 he died Dec 25, 1976. She was a seamstress at Mode O Day and she also worked at the Lil Thimble, both in Hastings, NE. She has lived in the Hastings Community since 1947. She enjoyed sewing for her family and friends. She is survived by, 3 daughters, Marianne Yoakum of Lincoln, NE, Barbara Murman of Glenvil, NE and Beverly Whitsel of Hastings, NE, 2 sons, Dave of Juniata, Paul of Hastings, 14 grandchildren , 1 great granddaughter, 1 sister, Miriam Clark of Rawlings, WY, and 1 brother of Harold Hermann of Grant, NE. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, and 1 sister Alice Barber. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Assoc.
