Phyllis June Janes

Hastings resident, Phyllis June Janes, 84 passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Private family graveside service at a later date. Burial will be in the Kenesaw Cemetery. Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the Kensington Evergreen, 233 N. Hastings, Hastings, NE 68901. Phyllis was born June 21, 1928 to Willard and Florence (Ramsey) Mills in Kenesaw, NE. She graduated from the Kenesaw High School. She married Lyle Janes on May 28, 1949. They lived in the Moline, Illinois area, all their married life. Traveling to Texas during winters during their retirement years. She was a member of the Kenesaw United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son Alan of East Moline, Illinois, two brothers, Cletus Mills of Portland, Oregon and Duane Mills and wife Gloria of Hastings, four sisters, Iola Saddler of Kenesaw, Carol Akins and husband Al of Sidney, Iowa, Evelyn Yurk and husband Carl and Loine Bohlen and husband Larry all of Hastings, sister-in-law, Jean Mills of North Platte, NE, brother-in-law, Ken Roy of Omaha and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lyle, one brother, Dale Mills, one sister Eunice Roy, sister-in-law Lou Mills, and brother-in-law, Robert Saddler.
