Randy J. Langenberg

Prosser resident, Randy J. Langenberg, 69, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Saint Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, NE.

Graveside services will be Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11 am at the Kenesaw Cemetery, with Rev. Tessa Zehrig officiating, with military rites by the Hastings Veterans Service. Book signing will be Thursday, March 15 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw is in care of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family to be established at a later date.

Randy was born August 12, 1948 to Irvin and Marie (Ernst) Langenberg in Lexington, NE. He graduated from Shickley Public Schools. He served in the United States Navy from April 20, 1966 to August 29, 1969 then was active in the Naval Reserves until May 9, 1972. He married Cindy Schenk on January 12, 1980 in Kenesaw, NE.

Randy worked as a heavy equipment operator till January 2014, retiring due to health reasons. Randy loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, camping and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Cindy, son Joshua Langenberg, daughter Monica Williams, grandchildren, Skyler (Shelbi) Langenberg, Alexander Williams, Kaitlyn Langenberg and Landon Langenberg all of Prosser, his mother, Marie Langenberg, two sisters, Peggy Langenberg and Susan Ryan all of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin, and a daughter-in-law, Angela Langenberg.
