Hastings resident, Raymond Arlo Bockerman, 78, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village Services will be Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Bockermen officiating. Burial will be in the Kenesaw Cemetery, Kenesaw, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 12 noon to 9 pm with the family present from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the Good Samaritan Society or the American Diabetes Association. Raymond was born February 15, 1934 to Gus and Iva (Currier) Bockerman in Hastings, NE. He married Betty Keister on September 30, 1952. He lived most his life on the family farm near Prosser, NE until moving to Hastings due to his health. He enjoyed farming, raising watermelons and cantaloupes. He also enjoyed collecting and selling antiques and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife Betty of Hastings, NE, three sons, Arlo and wife Marcia of Palmer, NE, Dennis of Hastings, NE and Joe and wife Susan of Chambers, NE, two granddaughters, Stacy Taylor and husband John of Lincoln, NE and Jessica Herold and husband Wayne of Wichita, KS, and one great grandson, Connor Herold. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Jerry, four brothers, Loraine, Mervin, Carl and William and two sisters, Dorothy Hinrikus and Edith Frickey.
