Hastings resident formerly of Juniata, Raymond C. Riese, 86, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Rosary will be Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 7:30 PM at the Brand-Wilson Chapel, Hastings, NE, Services will be Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 10 AM at the Assumption Catholic Church, in Assumption, NE, with Father Thomas Au officiating. Burial will be in the Assumption Cemetery with military rites by the Juniata American Legion. Visitation will be Monday, August 13, 2007 from 5 PM to 9 PM and Tuesday, August 14, 2007 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hastings, NE and one hour prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mr. Riese was born August 31, 1920 to John and Emma (Kuehn) Riese in Juniata, NE. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Air force in Africa and Italy. He married Bernadine Loskill on June 19, 1945 in ElPaso, Texas she died April 25, 2003. He farmed in the Kenesaw and Juniata Area, retiring in 1985. He then worked at the Juniata Feed Yard for 13 years. He was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church, in Assumption, NE. He was a member of the American Legion Post, in Juniata, NE, the4th Degree Knights of Columbus and VFW in Hastings, NE. He is survived by, 1 daughter, Rogene Ingebrightson and husband Ron, of Canton, SD, and 2 sons, Ronald Riese and wife Bev of Hastings, NE, and James Riese and wife Janet of Juniata, NE. 4 grandchildren, Michael Riese of Centerview, Missouri, Mark Riese, of Lincoln, NE, Amy Ramos, of Sioux Falls, SD, and Justin Riese, of Juniata, NE. 2 sisters, Freida Nolte of Faimont, MN, and Ruth Odle of Meridian, Miss. He was preceded in death by, his wife Bernadine, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 infant children. A memorial will be established.
