Raymond E. Korgan

Inland resident, Raymond Eldon Korgan, 79 passed away Monday August 27, 2012 at his home. Services will be Friday, August 31, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, in Harvard, NE with Rev. Dave Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 12 noon to 9 pm at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home in Harvard, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the Inland Cemetery or donors choice. Raymond was born January 23, 1933, in the family farm home, north of Inland, NE to Frank and Elsie (Hiatt) Korgan. He lived in the home his entire life. He attended rural grade school, District #17 and graduated from the Trumbull High School in Trumbull, NE in 1950 and started farming with his father and brother. He served in the United States Army as a sergeant from April 7, 1953 to April 2, 1955. After basic training he attended typist school in Fort Riley, Kansas. He spent 16 months as a clerk/typist in the troop control division of the Korean Communications Zone at Taegu, Korea. After returning home he continued farming until retiring in 1998. He is survived by one sister Carolyn Korgan of Inland, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Harlod and Glenn Korgan.
