Rebecca Pezzella Case

Rebecca Pezzella Case, 67, of Grand Island passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Francis Skilled Care in Grand Island.



Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Grand Island with Fr. Joe Kadaprayil officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, April 21st at the church concluding with the Rosary at 7 pm. In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the GRACE Foundation.



She was born on June 23, 1953 in Norfolk, VA to Vincent and Therese (Kaffar) Pezzella. She grew up in Norfolk, VA and received her education from Granby High School.



She was united in marriage to Richard Case on May 13, 1972 in Norfolk, VA. She lived her life in Grand Island. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in nursing she worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Francis, JBS Swift and the Lakeview Nursing Home.



Rebecca was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family especially her seven grandchildren.



She is survived by her son, Andrew (Lisa) Case of Omaha, NE; daughters, Heather (Scott) Callihan of Grand Island and Angie (James) Ayres of North Platte, NE; seven grandchildren; and sisters, Cindy Belanger, Mary Williams, Connie Baybutt and Amy Hart.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Therese Pezzella; brother, Vince Pezzella; and sister, Nancy Hardin.
