Juniata resident, Rhonda Lea Hanson, 49, 3205 Reprisal Rd., died at her home Saturday, August 18, 2007. Services will be Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Robert Smith officiating at the Redeemer Lutheran Church; Hastings, NE. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Monday, August 20, 2007 from 5 PM to 9 PM and Tuesday, August 21, 2007 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mrs. Hanson was born January 29, 1958 to Wesley and Elva (Pettit) McCullough in Broken Bow, NE. She attended Sunday school and bible school in Broken Bow. She attended 4-H and loved to draw and paint horses. She graduated from Ansley High School in May 1976. She worked at Pizza Hut and Daylight Donuts, in Broken Bow, NE. She married Lynn O. Hanson, December 7, 1989 in Hastings, NE. she worked at Bob Sass Flowers until the birth of her son Cody. She enjoyed riding and working with horses including barrel racing. She enjoyed attending horse shows with her father. Rhonda and Lynn bred, raised, trained and raced both quarter horse and thoroughbred horses. She was a member of the Nebr. Quarter Horse Racing Assoc, the Nebr. Thoroughbred Racing Assoc. and the Hastings Saddle Club. She is survived by, her husband Lynn, of Hastings, NE and son Cody, at home, and 2 step sons Ben and wife Trisha and Eric all of Lincoln, NE. 1 grandson, Austin of Lincoln, NE. Her mother Elva McCullough of Broken Bow, NE. Her mother-in-law, and father-in-law, Floyd and Merna Hanson of Hastings, NE. Her brother Don and wife Marilyn McCullough of Berwyn, NE. She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley McCullough. Memorials may be given to the Research of Huntington Disease or the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE.
