Richard B. Wolfe

Richard (Rick) B. Wolfe, 64, of Grand Island died Sunday, August 1, 2021, at CHI St. Francis with family by his side.



Funeral services will be at 2 PM Friday, August 6th, 2021 at Apfel Funeral Home with Derek Apfel CFC officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.



Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, August 5th, 2021 at Apfel Funeral Home.



Richard was born November 5, 1956, to Ronald and Margaret (Vance) Wolfe. Rick grew up and received his education in Grand Island, Nebraska graduating from Grand Island Senior High in 1975. He then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.



Rick was united in marriage to Carla Molle on December 9, 1978, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island. Carla and Rick were blessed with two daughters, Erika and Taryn.



Rick had worked for LaRue Coffee for 23 years, recently completing 2.5 years with VVS Canteen totaling 25 years in Office Coffee Services. He enjoyed spending time with his family; especially with his new grandson, JP Hoelting. On a nice day, you could find him taking a ride on his motorcycle or tinkering with something in the garage. The king of DIY, he was always working on a project.



Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters Erika Wolfe and Taryn Hoelting (Jason); grandson, JP Hoelting; his mother in law, Elsie Molle; special friend, Amy Larson and her sons Matthew (Crystal Stearns) and Jared Larson, siblings, Rob Wolfe (Sherrie); Jerrie Geiser (Andy); Mitch Wolfe (Becky), Brother in law Joe Pate, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.



He was preceded in death by his wife, Carla Wolfe; his parents, his father in law; Donald Molle; uncles, Robert (Bob) and Dick Wolfe; and sister, Kathy Pate.



In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Voice for Companion Animals and Hall County Hero Flight.
