Richard D. Delgado

Hastings resident, Richard D. Delgado, 73 passed peacefully, Sunday, August 7th 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. Richard was born in North Platte, NE, but lived most of his life in Hastings, NE until he moved to Las Vegas in 2014 to be closer to his children. Richard was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.



Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10 am at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel with Father Joseph Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings with military rites by the Hastings Veterans Association. Visitation will be Friday, August 19, 2016 from 5 pm to 9 pm with the family present from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in charge of the arrangements.



Memorials may be given to the family.

Richard is survived by three children (and spouses): Richard Jr. (Riz), Denise and Renee Delgado (Keith); nine grandchildren: Richard III and Brittny Delgado, Amanda Resgonia, Leina'ala, Ikaika, Keali'i and Kaila Cordeiro, Shaina and Nainoa Nakamura; and five great grandchildren: Kaimana Delgado, Nala and Fynn Kelly, Jaydon and Jaylah Cudal. Richard is survived by his brother Jim Delgado, sisters Linda Delgado, Virginia Martinez and Rita Sunday. Richard is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and four God children.



He was preceded in death by his wife Martha, his father Joseph Delgado, mother Fidelia Enriquez and brothers Raymond and Joseph Jr. Delgado.
