At our Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home location in Harvard, NE. Hastings resident, Richard H. Glantz, 85, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Friday, March 26, 2010, at 2 PM at the Harvard United Church of Christ in Harvard, NE with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Richard was born June 16, 1924 to Mike and Katherine (Aschenbrenner) Glantz in Harvard, NE. He attended the Harvard Public Schools. He married Ava M. Long on January 24, 1948, she passed away November 25, 2008. Richard farmed all his life. He is survived by 1 daughter, Linda Peter and husband Marvin of Sutton, NE, 1 son Rod Glantz and wife Kay of Harvard, NE. 5 grandchildren, Lisa, Jeffrey, Erin, Kiley and Richard, 5 great grandchildren, Kali, Kashia, Hudson, Turner and Timberlyn, and 1 sister Leota Johnson of Grand Island, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ava, 1 sister, Lillian Payne and 2 brothers, Ralph and Ronald Glantz. Memorials may be given to the Harvard United Church of Christ in Harvard, NE .
