Richard Lee Cloud, 54, of Lincoln died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Bryan LGH East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at Apfel Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Grand Island Cemetery. Visitation hours will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family. Richard Lee Cloud was born January 28, 1958 in Grand Island the son of Roosevelt Hill & Beverly Cloud. He grew up in Grand Island attending Grand Island public schools graduating from Grand Island Central Catholic. He was united in marriage to Sue Sager, March 5, 1979 at Hastings, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Grand Island. Richard worked as a welder for Chief Construction in his younger years. His health later failed and he became disabled. He was a member of Shiloh Temple Church. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and loved to engage in conversation. He loved sports: basketball, WWF wrestling and Nebraska football. Survivors include his mother, Beverly Cloud of Grand Island, one son, Derrick Cloud of Belgrade, stepdaughter, Elisa Cloud of Omaha, three grandchildren, Aniah, Kelony, Kali, step grandchild, Isabella, three brothers & two sisters in law, Charles & Connie Cloud of Salt Lake City, Utah, Michael Cloud of Lincoln, Tim & Karen Cloud of Grand Island, two sisters & brother in law, Eileen Watson of Lincoln and Tina & Juan Ronquillo of Grand Island. He was preceded in death by his father.
