Kenesaw resident, Robert Bob Hermann, 85 passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Kenesaw Haven Home, Kenesaw, NE. Services will be Monday, April 30, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Christ Lutheran Church, near Prosser, NE with Pastor Greg Volzke officiating. Burial will be in the Concordia Cemetery, near Prosser, NE. Visitation will be Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home, Kenesaw, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the Christ Lutheran Church or School. Bob was born June 14, 1926, to Gus and Augusta (Berndt) Herman in Holstein, NE. He attended school at the Christ Lutheran School and graduated from the Juniata High school in 1944. He married Dora Katzberg on April 18, 1948. Bob was a farmer. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church near Prosser, NE, and was a past elder, and held many offices on the church council and sang in the mens choir. He was a charter member of the Chorus of the Plains in Hastings, NE. He also served on the board of directors for the Farmers Union Coop Gas and Oil in Juniata, NE. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, drinking coffee with friends and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Dora of Kenesaw, NE, two daughters, Gwen Halte and husband Frank of Kenesaw, NE, Patty Bruntz and husband Dave of Hastings, NE, one son, Gaylon Hermann and wife Kim of Juniata, NE, five grandchildren. Tami Tackwell and husband Bill of Hastings, NE, Tanya Rutt and husband Robb of Kenesaw, NE, Danny Bruntz and wife Trisha, of Hastings, NE, and Jeff and Walker Hermann of Juniata, NE and five great grandchildren, and one brother, Ted Hermann and wife Jean of Juniata, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Marie Finnigsmier, Wauneta Kroll and Esther Burr.
