Robert "Bob" W. Duff

Robert W. “Bob” Duff, 42, of Axtell died Monday, June 4, 2018, at Mosaic Bethpage Village in Axtell.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designations. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Bob was born in Grand Island, NE, July 26, 1975, the son of Bob and Sherry (Vilas) Duff. He was enrolled in the Special Education Program in Grand Island and Mosaic until moving to Mosaic Bethpage Village in Axtell in 2016.

When he was young he enjoyed going to his Grandmother’s in Storm Lake, Iowa, where he loved swimming in the lake, riding in her boat, and above all he thoroughly enjoyed driving her around the golf course in her golf cart. As he grew older he enjoyed Husker Football, bowling, horse races and spending time with family and friends.

Bob volunteered for many years at the Grand Island YMCA folding towels and making many friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Bill & Sherry Neid of Grand Island, Bob & Karen Duff of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, brothers & families, Mike & Maureen Duff, Jack & Molly Duff all of Omaha, James & Rachel Duff, Riley & Dewey Duff all of Grand Island, NE, his grandmother, Arlene Vilas of Storm Lake, Iowa and many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dwain Vilas, paternal grandparents, Walter & Lucille Duff.
