Kenesaw resident, Robert L. Monie, 69 passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at his home. Memorial services will be Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home, Kenesaw, NE with Rev. Paul Duffy officiating. Book signing will be Friday, December 28, 2012 from 9 am to 8 pm at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home, Kenesaw, NE. Private family inurnment at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the family. Robert was born September 7, 1943 to Clarence and Nona (Morris) Monie in Franklin, NE. His family moved to Hastings from Franklin when he was 5 years old. He attended high school in Hastings, NE. He married Bonnie (Shurter) Traeger, on August 21, 1983. He retired as a machinist from Flowserve in Hastings, NE. He was a Kenesaw resident for the last 30 years. He loved to be outside, fishing, gardening and working on mechanics. He is survived by his wife Bonnie (Traeger) of Kenesaw, NE, one son Eric, four daughters, Anita Lounsbury and husband Scot, Cheryl Mutchler, Monica Cook and Sarah Monie, two step sons, Dale Traeger and Paul Traeger and wife Tammi, nine grandchildren, Dominic Mutchler, Shiann Cook, Dalton, Cook, Justice Malesker-Monie, Emily Monie, Blake Monie, Christopher Uhrich, Alexis Uhrich and Joseph Koci, three step-grandchildren, Kaleb Traeger, Kolton Traeger and Becky Traeger, and three brothers, Verle, John and Richard Monie. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Jennifer Venhaus, one grandson, Nathan McGinnis, one step-grandson, Kyle Traeger, one brother, Gerald Monie and one sister, Judy Monie.
