At Our Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home location, Kenesaw, NE. Kenesaw resident, Robert R. Bender, 89, passed away Friday, October 08, 2010 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Tuesday October 12, 2010 at 10 AM at the United Methodist Church in Kenesaw, NE with Pastor Stuart Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Kenesaw Cemetery, Kenesaw, NE. Visitation will be Monday, October 11, 2010 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home in Kenesaw, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Robert was born February 13, 1921 to Ray and Ida M. (Ross) Bender in Kenesaw, NE. He married Darlene A. DeJunge, she passed away June 24, 2007. He graduated from the Kenesaw High School in 1939. Robert was a farmer in Kenesaw and retired in 1995 and moved into Kenesaw. Robert enjoyed playing cards with his grandchildren and he enjoyed the Kenesaw Senior Center. He is survived by two daughter, Ruth Woolman and husband Gary of Hampton, NE, and Roberta and husband Harry Powell of Ft. Collins, CO, and three sons, Clinton Bender and wife Brenda, Delbert Bender and Wesley Bender all of Kenesaw, NE, Seven grandchildren, Evan Bender, Dalton Bender, Andrew and Amber Powell and Marcus Garrison, Ann Mansfield and husband Ryan and Megan Aden and husband Adam. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Darlene and one brother, Leslie Bender. Memorials will be given to the familys choice.
