Robert Ralph Dandurand

Robert “Bob” Ralph Dandurand, 88, of Grand Island, Nebraska died April 3, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be at Apfel Funeral Home Chapel on April 12, 2019 at 10:00 am with Pastor Beth Gregory officiating. Interment will be in the Chapman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Bob was born on August 18, 1930 in Marshall, Minnesota to Daisy Cary and Philip Dandurand. He grew up in Marshall and received his education there. He was united in marriage to Marion Thompson on October 30, 1949 in Marshall, Minnesota. After which the couple moved to Grand Island where he was employed at Northwestern Bell for 35 years. Later working for Bosselmans for over 10 years.

Robert above all else loved his family and friends and spent his entire life making sure they had everything that they needed.

Survivors include; daughters, Mary Myers and Jane (Chad) Stroud, their children; Nicholas and Samuel; grandsons, Daniel Tomlinson and Micheal Tomlinson; great-granddaughter, Sarah Tomlinson; sisters, Lil Vierstraete and Joyce Winton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marion Thompson; daughter, Marcia Tomlinson; brothers, Gordon, Maynard and Dwayne; sisters, Geny and Olive; long time companion, Mary Ellen Hahn
