Ronald Glen Brown, 80, of Hastings, NE died on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Mary Lanning Healthcare.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025 in the Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. A celebration of life will follow at The Eagles Club in Hastings from 4 to 7 PM.

Ronald was born on January 30, 1945 to Glen and Walburga (Weber) Brown in Yuba City, California. He grew up in Yuba City, CA and Hastings, NE. He received his education from Zion Lutheran School and graduated from Hastings High School.

He enlisted in the US Navy and was medically discharged. He as united in marriage to Marlys Echternach on August 10, 1968 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE. After which the couple lived in Hastings where he retired from Thermo King.

He was a member of the Eagles and the Hasting American Legion. He enjoyed camping, Nebraska sports, driving cars back to town for car dealerships, gardening, playing pool and old muscle cars.

He is survived by his wife, Marlys; sons, Bradley, Brent and Todd; seven grandchildren: Brianna, Bryce, Sadie, Carissa, Mackenzie, Todd and Cassidy; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diana.
