Ronald E. Uden

October 27, 1946 — February 6, 2017

Prosser resident, Ronald E. Uden, 70, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at Premier Estates of Kenesaw.

Services will be Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Christ Lutheran Church of rural Juniata with Rev. Greg Volzke officiating. Book Signing will be at the Fire House in Kenesaw from 5 pm to 7 pm, Friday, February 10, 2017. Burial will be at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw, is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the family.

Ron was born October 27, 1946 to Rupert H. and Margaret G. (Frerichs) Uden in Hastings, NE. Ron was the oldest of 4 sons. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church of rural Juniata, where he was a lifelong member. He attended Christ Lutheran School through the 8th grade. He then attended 9th grade at Hastings Junior High and finished his school years at Hastings Senior High graduating in 1965.

Ron served in the United States National Guard from 1966 to 1972.

He married his high school sweetheart, Sue M. Morgan on January 7, 1967. To this union were 2 children Scott and Laurie. Ron was employed by Westland Modular Homes, self-employed with his dad making and installing septic tanks, leach fields and cement cattle feeder bunks. Ron later worked his last 18 years of employment with Dana Corporation of Hastings until they closed the plant. At this time with the onset of his Huntington s disease, he was placed on disability. Ron spent the rest of his mobile days at his home until he moved to Premier Estates of Kenesaw in January of 2012.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife Sue of Prosser, son Scott Uden and wife Teresa and daughter Laurie Pulver and husband J.R. all of Kenesaw and 5 grandchildren, Evan Uden, Ashley Uden, Riley Pulver, Taylor Pulver and Madeline Pulver, two brothers, Jim and Connie Uden of Prosser and Gene Uden of Grand Island and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charlie and Peg (Morgan) of Greeley, CO, three sister in laws, Cathy Morgan and Mary Uden both of Hastings and sister-in-law, Deb Uden of Phillips, NE and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Doug, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Mae Morgan and brother-in-law, Jerry Morgan.
