Kenesaw resident, Ronald L. Stade, 65, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Perkins-Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Services will be Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 10:30 at the St Paul Lutheran Church in Lowell, NE with Rev. Thomas R. Mackey officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Lowell, NE with military rites. Visitation will be 9 AM to 8 PM, Friday, November 4, 2011 with the family present from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home, Kenesaw, NE and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Ron was born January 20, 1946 to Lawrence and Doris (Plautz) Stade in Kearney, NE. He attended the Shelton High School and graduated from Minden High School in 1963. He served in the United States Army from December 28, 1965 to December 13 1967. He received the National Defence Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze service star. He married Merrie Kay Cotter on April 19. 1969. He had lived in the Kenesaw area most of his life and was a farmer. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lowell, NE. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife Merrie Kay of Kenesaw, NE, one son John Stade and wife Katie, of Grand Island, NE, two daughters, Heather Denkert and husband Joel of Naperville, IL, and Brooke Otte and husband David of Omaha, NE, four frandchildren, Molly and Miranda Denkert, Tyler Otte and Jaxson Stade, one brother Curtiss Stade and wife Jeannie of Minden, NE and two sisters, Carolyn Bennett and husband Don, and Janine Wrage and husband Dennis of Shelton, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials given to family or donors choice.
