Hastings resident, Ruby Helen Wilbur, 71, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Memorial services will be Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 10 am at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE with Pastor Eddie Goff officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings; NE. Book signing will be Friday, February 17, 2012 from 9 am to 9 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com Ruby was born February 17, 1940 to Frank and Bessie (Harger) Hartford in Hastings, NE. She graduated from the Hastings High School in 1958. She married Melvin Wilbur on March 28, 1959 in Hastings, NE he passed away June 17, 1979. During her early years she cleaned houses and raised her family. She worked at Dana Perfect Circle as an inspector from 1980 to 2000. She enjoyed crafts and making scrapbooks. She enjoyed keeping in touch with relatives and friends on Facebook. She is survived by two sons, Rick Wilbur and wife Anne of Juniata, NE, and Dave Wilbur and wife Allison; and two daughters, Cheryl Helzer and Teresa SanFilippo, all of Hastings, NE, eight grandchildren, Amy, Whitney, Ashley, Keisha, Amber, Cory, Tres and Matthew, four great grandchildren, Olivia, Brielle, Elizabeth and Avery, one sister, Elsie Conover of Central Point, Oregon, and three brothers, Lloyd Hartford of Coffee Springs, Alabama, Carl Hartford of Gold Canyon, Arizona, and Everett Hartford of Santa Barbara, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Glen and Harlan. Memorials may be given to the Morrison Cancer Center, Hastings, NE.
