At our Kenesaw, NE location the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home. Prosser resident, Rupert H. Uden, 86 passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, in Hastings, NE. Services will be Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church in Juniata, NE, with the Rev. Gregory Volzke officiating. Burial will be in the Concordia Cemetery in Juniata, NE. Visitation will be Monday, June 28, 2010 from 5 PM to 9 PM and Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family present from 7 PM to 8 PM at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home in Kenesaw, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Rupert was born May 18, 1924 to John E. and Anna G. (Augustin) Uden in Prosser, NE. He attended the Christ Lutheran School in Juniata, NE. He married Margaret Maggie Frerichs on November 25, 1945; she passed away on August 22, 2002. Rupert farmed north of Juniata for many years. He established Uden and Sons Concrete business in 1963. He is survived by 3 sons, Ron Uden and wife Sue of Prosser, NE, Jim Uden and wife Connie of Prosser, NE and Gene Uden, of Grand Island, NE. 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Luther Uden and wife Vivian of Hastings, NE and 1 sister, Frieda Lavin and husband Herb of New York and a daughter-in-law, Deb Uden of Grand Island, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Maggie and a son Douglas.
